September 23, 2014 — Today, we’re launching a new effort—“Indiana is Ready”—to visibly show that the people of Indiana believe in marriage equality. Over the next few weeks, all across the state, Hoosiers are printing or making their own signs and then snapping a photo to say they’re ready for the freedom to marry!
Respect for Marriage Coalition Calls on Fed Gov to Respect Indiana Marriages
September 22, 2014 — Freedom to Marry and the Human Rights Campaign—on behalf of the Respect for Marriage Coalition—sent a letter to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, asking the Department of Justice to “ensure federal respect” for those marriages performed in Indiana during the window, as well as marriages performed in Wisconsin and Arkansas due to similar circumstances.
Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals Issues Stay on Indiana’s Marriage Case
September 15, 2014 — Today the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals issued a stay pending appeal on the landmark ruling that found Indiana’s marriage ban to be unconstitutional.
